Things You Need to Know ...

  • Cambodia's forest coverage has dropped from 70% in 1970's to today's merely over 40%, due to illegal logging, population growth and other factors,
  • Established under the 1993 Royal Decree on the Protection of Natural Areas, these protected areas are managed by both local government and overseas organizations and institutions.
  • If you are planning on visiting these areas, we don't recommend overnight stay inside the protected areas. Some rules should be abided for environment protection.
